Butch Fisher Memorial Scholarship

TWO Scholarships will be awarded in 2025: $1,000 and $500
To Apply: Fill out the scholarship application and include a one-page Personal Statement essay and your academic transcripts. Eligibility and application submission details below. Completed applications are accepted by mail, email, or through our online form.

Eligibility: Applicant must meet three of the following criteria:
- Currently enrolled in a Piatt County school district.
- A prior graduate of a school district in Piatt County.
- Accepted to any post-secondary school pursuing an agricultural or natural resource related degree or certification.
- Currently enrolled in any post-secondary school pursuing an agricultural or natural resource related degree or certification.
- Have resided in Piatt County within the last 5 years.
Those who have previously submitted an application may reapply. This includes past recipients of this scholarship, but the total amount of financial assistance received must not exceed $2,000.
Application requirements:
- Application has been completed in its entirety, including academic transcripts and a Personal Statement no more than one page in length.
- Information is accurate and honest.
- If awarded, recipient agrees to volunteer 15 hours of participation in Piatt County Soil and Water Conservation District events, and/or functions of their choosing approved by the District.
Deadline: Application must be emailed or post-marked by April 1st, 2025.
